Getting Paid to Talk: An Introduction to Professional Voice Over
Have you ever been told you have a great voice? From audio books and cartoons to documentaries, commercials, and more, this class will introduce you to the growing field of voice over. Learn what the pros look for, how to prepare, and where to find work in your area! We’ll discuss industry pros and cons and play samples from working voice professionals. This class also includes an opportunity to receive a brief one-on-one voice range and quality assessment with our instructor. This class is lots of fun, realistic, and a great first step for anyone interested in the voice over field.
This class will be presented via synchronous learning through Zoom. Students will need to access Zoom with a computer or download the app on your tablet on phone. Students will be emailed the invitation link a few days prior to scheduled date.

Coaching 101
Get ready for those summer and fall sports! Even if you haven’t had the chance to coach a team yet, this course prepares you for success; if you’ve already coached, it’s a terrific refresher (plus it looks great on a resume). This course is geared for all coaches in all sports. Learn from a head coach with professional experience at both the high school level and at multiple colleges. Currently, Coach Parisho leads Owens’ baseball program, which advanced to the NJCAA Division-III District finals after capturing its third straight regional championship title in 2023. The 2021 season was highlighted with a trip to the Baseball World Series for the first time in program history; under Parisho's leadership, the Express tallied a 48-4 record in 2023 with the most wins in a single season in program history. Topics include: how to practice plan, motivational ideas for players, admin work off the field, game day management, communication, social media, rules of sports, available resources, emergency situations, communication with parents, working with administrators and more.
