Around the World in Three Days

Ages 5-8 years. Climb aboard Owens Airlines for a journey around the world. Each day, travel to two countries and meet your tour guide who will lead you in crafts, stories, games, snacks and more to help you learn more about that country. Materials and supplies included.

Candy STEM

Forces and Energy of Nature

Ages 8-12. How do nature’s forces and energy affect you? Find out by launching a rocket, creating light-up art and so much more, from propelling a marshmallow to (literally) walking on eggs. Dare to test gravity, master aerodynamics and overcome friction. You’ll even get a take-home bag packed with your crafts.

Magnet Raceway Engineering Camp

Ages 5-8. Explore magnetism by harnessing this invisible force to power a magnet raceway. This is not a kit! You will design and fabricate your car and racetrack using magnets and common craft materials. On the last day of camp, you will compete in the Round Robin Rally, with your car making a timed run on each course. At the end of camp, you will take home the car you build, so you can race it on your own.

Rookie Robotics Camp

Ages 8-12. No previous experience required! Learn basic coding and mechanical skills. Your camp covers several projects with increasing complexity, including follow-me, line following, and pick-and-place robots. Learn the basics of electronics, motor control and sensors. This camp’s kit is based on an ESP32 board and provides everything needed to build several different robotics projects. For this camp, you do not take your kit home.

Electric Car Engineering Camp

Ages 8-12. Explore electricity and mechanical power transmission as you build a battery powered cardboard car. This is not a kit! You will design and fabricate the chassis, powertrain and body using common craft materials and standard hardware. On the last day, at the Cardboard Car Rally, each camper’s electric car competes for awards.

Design a Zoo Enclosure Camp

Ages 5-8. Research your own zoo animal, from its needs to its habitats. Then design and build a model zoo enclosure tailored to your chosen animal. This is not a kit! You will design and fabricate your animal, the enclosure, living area, and support structures using common craft materials.

Magic of Science

Ages 6-8. Science is playing tricks on you! Learn hands-on about these tricks and then learn how to play some of your own. By the end of camp, you’ll be able to simplify things like endothermic reactions, layered lemonade and more – all part of your natural world.
