Studio Art Welding

If you’ve ever wanted to make a simple sculpture or garden art to accent your flower bed, this is your chance. Shape steel with the help of an Owens artistic welding professional! Learn the basics of MIG welding and how to use common tools; just bring gloves and safety glasses, and wear proper attire (jeans, long sleeve shirt and work boots). Ghost Hunting & The Study of Paranormal

This course is designed to give you a deeper insight into the world of the paranormal. This includes gathering evidence with the essential investigating equipment. Analyzing audio, video and all of the captured evidence to determine whether the evidence successfully supports the claims of a haunting. We will also cover Paranormal Studies which is the field of study that investigates paranormal phenomena, including experimental approaches, the use psychic mediums, and different levels of energy. We will conduct a case study of an investigation and explore the nature of the paranormal experience and the evidence. Learn from veteran paranormal investigator Harold St. John, founder of Toledo Ohio Ghost Hunters Society.

Mosaic Address Plate

Create a decorated 14"x8" address plate, using glass mosaic pieces as you learn about the art and technique of this one-of-a-kind art form. Make one as a gift for the holiday season or for that someone you know who has a new home - or just keep it for your own home (caution - your neighbors will want you to make one for them!). Suitable for outdoor use. Materials included, except for glass nippers which you'll bring to class (see below). Suitable for ages 15 to adult. Instructor: Liz Hayes

Please bring a set of glass nippers with you to the course ($15.27 at your local Home Depot); additional supplies are provided.

After you enroll, you’ll receive a separate email, a couple weeks before class, about the colors (background, numbers and accent) for your address mosaic plate. If you register later than that, colors will be chosen for you.
